I learned the hard way that I need to do a background check on some of my employees, especially those employees in high positions. I own a family restaurant that has been quite popular the last couple of years. I have a great staff working for me and we love our busy Friday and Saturday nights. Unfortunately, the other night the liquor control board came in when my bartender served an underage minor. Unbeknowst to me, this bartender had been busted before for the same illegal move. If I had done a check on my bartender first, I would have never hired him.
