Many people have heard of Human Growth Hormone, commonly referred to as HGH.  However, not many people are aware of the dangers of HGH. For example, in the most recent news, Marion Jones was indicted for her alleged use of HGH in the world of track and field athletics.  She was stripped of her five gold medals, which she had won in a past Olympics competition AND she was sentenced to jail time for not only using illegal steroids but then lying about her use to the public.  Marion Jones, however, isn’t the only athlete who believed (or continues to believe) that HGH significantly affects athletic performance.  There are many athletes in the world who believe that HGH can provide them with the added edge that they need to outperform their competition. Contrary to popular belief, there is no proof that HGH has any impact on athetics; and in fact, one of the dangers of HGH is that there has been little to no research done on the drug.
