My fourteenth week of pregnancy is going well so far. I was so excited when I felt my baby move for the first time this week! At first it was just a fluttering feeling in my stomach, like having butterflies or something. I thought I was having cravings again, ha ha. But then I paid attention and realized it was my little sweetie. My only complaint at this point is one of the early signs of pregnancy – the symptom of constipation. I guess a mom’s body slows down the digestion so it can get every little ounce of nutrition out of the food and give it to the growing baby. The doctor told me to take prenatal vitamins so I have plenty of nutrients, and then eat a bowl of bran cereal or a bran muffin every day to help with regularity. It is so funny how I have cravings for some foods and total aversions to others lately. I guess it is from the high levels of hormones in the body.
