History hasn’t always been kind to the architectural world. Sometimes the greatest contributions designers have left have been wiped out. Great designs and examples of genius architectural engineering have been wrecked through natural catastrophes and through wars. Except for each disaster and eradication there were some that have passed the test of time and have stayed to remind us that history can prevail and have stayed to serve as reminders that mankind can leave beauty and lasting contributions to history and culture.
The architectural importance of certain periods in history isn’t lost to us. We see the fascinations of the World and have to wonder at the incredible vision of these presented draftsmen. The Sistine Chapel, Mount Rushmore, and the Taj Mahal are just three of the greatest examples in architecture that the world has ever seen .
But with the sweet comes the sour. Many amazing artworks have been lost over the years. Mankind is the best damaging force in the universe. The Library of Alexandria is an glorious good example from traditional times.
