The Austin Institute of Real Estate is an accredited real estate licensing school. The Institute has trained counselors that will go through the process of getting your real estate license. To get your real estate license through the Austin Institute of Real Estate can take less time than what you can imagine. The education requirements are all alike through the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). The requirements are 210 classroom hours or the equivalent to those classroom hours. The 210 hours will need to be broken up into; 30 hours Principles I, 30 hours Principles II, 30 hours Law of Contracts, 30 hours Law of Agency and 30 hours of additional course that are core classes. There will also be 60 hours that can be taken in the area of core classes or real estate related courses that must be approved by the TREC. The next step through the Austin Institute of Real Estate is to submit your evaluation and education documents to the TREC. This verifies you have completed the courses required to take the state exam. Once your education requirements have been verified you can then file the application to proceed with taking the state exam. The Austin Institute of Real Estate has classes after your required courses to help you prepare better for your state exam. The Institute encourages all applicants to take the correspondence courses to help better your ability of passing the state exam. The exam is broken into two parts; theory portion and the Texas state specific portion.
