As a trainer I am always happy to have a smart dog as a student, but sometimes I think that the not so smart dogs are much easier to train.  For example, I was working with a really playful, smart English Setter, and as soon as I would really get after him for not paying attention, he would simply bound out of range, and ha, ha on me.  Since my old unit had a fairly limited range, I decided to invest in a Innotek IUT-1000 electronic training collar with a 1000-yard range.  Now outrunning the signal was out of the question, and interestingly I found that I could teach him with much milder stimulation levels.  This system also lets me deliver a continuous or short burst signal, so by mixing the delivery signals, I can actually interrupt undesirable behavior with a milder reprimand.  The Innotek IUT-1000 gets the job done!
