A friend recently told me that I’m just wasting my time struggling to read traditional sheet music – she said that I should learn the guitar tabs method instead. She said that once I know how to read guitar tabs, the guitar will be easy to play. This sounds great; in fact, it sounds just a little too good to be true! If I really can learn to play more easily, I’d love it, but I’ve already invested so much time and money in traditional guitar lessons, and if this isn’t going to work, I’d don’t want to just send good money after bad. So, has anyone had success – or a particularly bad failure – with this tabs method? Let me know!
