In the world of electronics the inverter is essentially the device that can convert power from one form to another. In the car inverter it takes the power from the battery or more accurately the alternator and converts it into a 120 volt alternating current plug just like the one found in your home. This allows you to plug things you normally have to plug into your home into your car. You can plug in a shaver, your phone charger or if you desire a blender! It’s actually a great thing especially in a power outage. You can use your car as a generator for your electricity when the power goes out. You can plug it into an extension cord and power the television or lights in the house!
